Design Team Announcement

Apologies for keeping you waiting but we really did get lots of fabulous entries and it was so hard to pick out our new design team members! Thank you to everyone who applied; we loved seeing your pets and hope you'll keep playing along with the challenges.
Anyway, without further ado- our new DT members and a peek at their pets!

Challenge 58

Halloween!

Ah yes, the time of year when we can dress our pets up in cute costumes! Or if they're less than amused with the prospect of being paraded around the neighbourhood dressed up as Superman, maybe they like to help with the pumpkin carving! Or maybe just eating the candy instead!

Give us a trick OR treat with your Halloween pet layouts!

For those of you waiting for the DT announcement, apologies for the delay. We had fabulous entries and it's been really tough to choose between them! Hopefully we will have the final team announcement for you shortly and thanks to everyone who applied!

Challenge 57

Superheros!

If your pet could dream of being a superhero, who would they be? Would they be a caped crusader like Batman? Or maybe they'd swing on webs across the city rooftops like Spiderman? Or are they more likely to be a supervilllan, twirling their moustache as they hold a damsel captive?

Show us your layouts of your pets with super powers; lycra pants and capes optional!

Remember you still have until the 1st November to send us your entries for the DT call at atruefriendblog@yahoo.co.uk.

Challenge 56 and a Design Team Call

Holiday and Travels

We all love a good holiday but what happens to your pets when you jet off on your travels? Do you take your pets with you on holiday? What preparations/accommodations do you have to make? Do they all stay home and you hire someone and leave a 5 page "booklet" of instructions and call everyday to check on them like Shelly? Or are you like Karen and hate leaving your babies behind?

A True Friend is having a Design Team call for some new DT members! We are looking to add to our team and if you enjoy scrapping your pets then please apply! Whether your pet is a cat, dog, Giant African snail or Leopard gecko, we love them all!
We usually have a new challenge posted every two weeks and can always use new ideas for challenges.
Send 3 examples of your work; layout, minibook, cards, altered art, etc, to atruefriendblog@yahoo.co.uk by the 1st November and we'll announce the new DT shortly after that.
Open to everyone and we look forward to seeing your work!

Challenge 55

Action!

The theme for this challenge is movement, or lack of! Whether you have a big and bouncy dog that likes to charge about, a kitty cat that prowls around or maybe a lizard that just likes to lounge about in the sun,we want to see your pets in action! Running, swimming, shaking, rolling or just lazing- show us your pages of your pets on the move.

Challenge 54

In Black and White

The theme for this challenge is colour- or rather lack of it! Black and white photos can look striking as our eyes focus on the detail rather than the colours, and if you can get your pet to sit still long enough, you can get some gorgeous shots of them. So the challenge this time is to scrap black and white photos of your pets. The DT have taken this a bit further and scrapped their entire layouts in black and white, with a few splashes of colour!

So let us see your pets in all their monochrome glory!

Challenge 53

Wrapped around their little paw/ claw/ fin, etc!

We all know how it goes- you're busy doing something and suddenly become aware of a little face peeking at you, or pawing at your leg, demanding attention for something. If you're anything like us, you probably find it hard to resist!. Whether it is that sad eyed look, the incessant whining, the begging, the hard to resist cute face – show us a layout about your pet featuring the way they make you drop everything and do their bidding! How does your pet wrap you round their little paw, claw or other appendage! As an extra little challenge, we'd like you include some journalling on the page to tell your story.
